Dear Student, It has been brought to our attention that students wishing to apply for WorldSkills competition have a concern around their safety if they were to travel to China next year to participate in the competition which is scheduled to take place in Shanghai, China from 22-27 September 2021.
WorldSkills South Africa would like to bring to your attention that the WorldSkills International Competition in Shanghai is taking place in September 2021, which is a timespan of more than a year from now. At this stage there is therefore no need for alarm, the processes leading to the National Competition in February 2021 will proceed as scheduled.
In the interest of global citizen’s health safety, WorldSkills International will in due course pronounce on the effect of the Corona virus (COVID-19) on the WorldSkills International Competition in Shanghai. WorldSkills South Africa will then take a position from the pronouncement when it is made. Thank you.
Students that have interest in participating must contact their Deputy Campus Managers at their respective campuses by no later than the 31 March 2020
