South West Gauteng TVET College joins the nation and the multitudes of people across the world in congratulating Zakes, Nomcebo, and Wouter on winning the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ Grammy at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
We continue sowing seeds and providing students with life-changing opportunities. As the college we pride ourselves and offer Popular Music all in an endeavour to improve the world,taking one student at a time. We hope that the current crop of students are motivated by this accomplishment and they,too,will make us proud and ascend the national stages in a forseeable future!
We recognize the tireless efforts and selfless contribution of the current lecturers who continue to make a significant and impactful difference to the music education field and demonstrate a commitment to the broader cause of maintaining music education in the college.
By winning this Grammy Award, they have invariably raised the African flag high and elevated South Africa’s musical profile worldwide.
