On behalf of the Student Representative Council (SRC) of 2018/19, I am pleased to welcome all prospective and returning students to South West Gauteng TVET College for the 2018 academic year. I can only hope that you will have a productive as well as a healthy environment to study and to socialize in.
Our aim is to advocate for the redress of pupils, this goal remains one that will forever be in our hearts as we understand that the society remains divided and that those previously disadvantaged will continue to be disadvantaged should they not find mechanisms or avenues accessible to them in order to uplift themselves and their communities.
The SRC prides itself with its support for the vision, mission and values of the college and hereby commits to be the voice of all students of SWGC. We call on all our students to make use of all facilities of the institution and to always access our SRC offices at campus in whatever enquiries they might have.
As Karl Marx said- “men make history but not under self-selected circumstances…”. Be that men, make history but of course the circumstances won’t be of how you would like them to be.
