Victor/Victrix Laudorum Head of Department Award 2009

"True leaders have the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to others. They do not set out to be leaders, but become one by the quality of their actions and the integrity of their intent. True leaders are very much like an eagle… they don't flock; you find them one at a time."

Rainmaker Awards

"Ours is a continent known for its dryness. In Africa a drop of rain or a droplet from the morning dew signals hope; hope for growth; hope for life and hope for prosperity. A prosperity that is infectious in that it engulfs everyone around. This is the happiness and joy that occurs when Africa sees one of its own showing signs of being a Rainmaker, or actually living the selfless and inspiring life of a Rainmaker by creating opportunities, hope and prosperity for others."
