Requirements: Appropriate Bachelor’s degree OR an equivalent recognised 3-year qualification that includes a Teaching qualification (minimum of REQV 13).Registered with SACE, Computer skills (MS Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook) , Good communication skills , Accountable for performance of students in the subject taught.

For all Engineering positions/vacancies a trade certificate serve as a requirement in case of the applicant not possessing a teachers qualification.
Duties: Conduct teaching and manage learning in a classroom/practical centre , Prepare and mark subject and programmes-related assessments, Use technology in the delivery of teaching and learning, Organise, prepare and conduct workplace or simulated experiential learning for students, Perform other relevant duties in the context of teaching and learning ? Must be able to teach both theory and practical.

Post Requirements
For all PL 2 positions an appropriate Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognized qualification/ Teaching diploma or minimum of REQV 13 with 3 years teaching experience. PL3 positions the potential candidate must have 5 years teaching and management experience , a thorough knowledge of all policies and legislation governing FET colleges in RSA, must be registered with SACE, computer skills (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Access and MS Outlook) and strong communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as analytical skills.
Duties
- Manage curriculum activities for both NC (V) and Report 191 programmes.
- Monitor curriculum delivery for programmes applied.
- Organize experiential learning and teaching including excursions for students.
- Advice on training and development needs for staff members under his/her span of control.
- Report and account for lecturer and student performance in his/her programme(s)
- Engage into contact teaching and learning in a classroom.
- Other relevant duties within the ambit of teaching and learning
